Saint Lazarus (of Bethany) Chaplet Prayers
On the Crucifix Pray
O God, heavenly Father, whose Son, Jesus Christ, enjoyed rest and refreshment in the home of Mary and Martha of Bethany. Give us the will to love you, open our hearts to hear you, and strengthen our hands to serve you in others for his sake; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, now and forever.
Almighty God, our heavenly Father, whose Son blessed by his presence the home of Lazarus and Mary and Martha in Bethany, grant that, like Martha, we may serve Christ faithfully in the person of our brothers and sisters; and that, like Mary, we may feed on his Word and grow in his love and grace; and that, like Lazarus, we may be brought forth from death to new life in him; through the same Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
Pray the Our Father on Each of the First Three Beads
Our Father, Who art in Heaven, Hallowed be Thy name. Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.
Pray the Hail Mary on Each of the Next Three Beads
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with Thee. Blessed art Thou among women and blessed is the fruit of Thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
Pray the Glory Be on the Final Set of Three Beads
Glory Be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be; World without end. Amen.
On the Medal Pray
Dear patron and assistant of the poor and sick,
With this prayer, I request your assistance, and with the aid of the Holy Spirit
May the Lord always protect me during sickness or in health.
Saint Lazarus give me the strength to overcome all the temptations on this earth.
In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
