Saint Eugene de Mazenod Chaplet Prayers

************

 On the Medal Pray

Almighty and loving God, you led Saint Eugene de Mazenod through the sufferings and challenges of a dysfunctional family to a life of holiness. Through his constant intercession bless the children and the youth of broken families. Strengthen the spouses to strive for unity. Grant them the gifts of understanding, patience, love and courage to overcome the problems of life. We ask this through Jesus Christ our Savior and Lord. Amen.

Pray the Our Father on each of the first three beads

Our Father, Who art in Heaven, Hallowed be Thy name.  Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.   Amen.

Pray the Hail Mary on each of the next three beads

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with Thee.  Blessed art Thou among women and blessed is the fruit of Thy womb, Jesus.  Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death.  Amen.

Pray the Glory Be on the final set of three beads

Glory Be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.  As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be; World without end.  Amen.

On the Crucifix Pray

God our Father, we thank you for having called Saint Eugene de Mazenod
to follow Christ the Savior and Evangelizer. Passionately in love with your Son Jesus
and sharing in his compassion for humanity Eugene put himself unconditionally
at the service of your Church for the evangelization of those most in need.

Through his intercession, help us to reach out with the healing touch of Christ who calls us
to Holiness and to Mission. May we build communities which are signs of your presence,
and share the Good News of salvation with all peoples.

For this we dedicate ourselves, through Christ our Lord.
